Strong And Graceful

Women’s Bodybuilding was still in its infancy and at a crossroad.  Laura Combes would win the 1980 American Women’s Championship with large and defined muscles.  Some thought such a physique should be penalized, however most were strongly opposed to this suggestion.  This is an excellent article that discusses the plight of Women’s competition in the early 1980’s.
