With each publication, Muscular Development provided an overview of the bodybuilder featured on its cover. In June 1971 it was Ken Waller. Up to this point Ken had won The Jr Mr USA, Mr USA, Mr World, NABBA Mr Universe and IFBB Mr America. He would later go on to win the IFBB Mr Universe featured in ‘Pumping Iron’. Roger Walker of Australia would finish 2nd in this event.
