The 1977 NABBA Mr. Universe Contest (amateur and professional) provided some exciting competition. For the first time since 1957, both contests were won by British entries. Bertil Fox won the amateur event. In the Pros, Tony Emmott edged Serge Nubret of France out of 1st place by one point.
