How Mike Mentzer Improved his Back

An interesting article by Garry Bartlett that appeared in the March 1981 edition of IronMan Magazine.

Garry Bartlett was fortunate enough to witness Mike working out in the gym when he was working his back.

After a warmup Mike completed the following sets for back alone:

1) Barbell Row: 4 sets of 8 reps.
2) Pully Row using the close grip handle: 4 sets of 8 reps.
3) Lat Machine Pull Down to the Front (medium hand spacing): 3 sets of 8 reps.

A TOTAL OF 11 SETS (PLUS WARM UPS). A realistic insight into his true training and a little bit different from what is currently assumed.

A Great read for all those fans of Mike and his training methodologies.
