In a star studded national competition Frank Richard would win the 1969 NABBA Mr Britain ahead of Albert Beckles and Tony Emmott.
The title of Miss Britain went to Sylvia Hibbert who was a keep fit specialist and acrobat. She and her husband Norman had a well rehearsed act that kept them busy on the cabaret circuit.
The Junior title was won by London’s Bertil Fox. Fox was 17 at the time and was already exhibiting the muscular bulk that would become his trademark.
Roy Callender, Roy Parrett and John Citrone would all provide guest posing appearances.
