The newly formed World Amateur Body Building Association (WABBA) was created by Serge Nubret. It first major event was run in Paris in 1977. ‘The World Championships’ would determine both a amateur and professional winner. Ahmet Enunlu would win the overall amateur title whilst Sergio Oliva would claim the professional title.
