Bev Francis

An early article introducing Bev Francis.   The 25 year teacher from Melbourne Australian had just had just won the 1980 World Powerlifting Championships.  Prior to this Bev had represented Australia in shot put, discuss and javelin.  Bev would make her pro bodybuilding debut in 1984 finishing a polarizing 8th in the Grand Prix Las Vegas behind Carla Dunlap.  With the change in Women’s bodybuilding criteria she would go on to compete in 6 Miss Olympia titles finishing 3rd (3 times behind Cory Everson) and (2nd twice behind Linda Murray).
