An excellent article in the Australian Newspaper Publication the “Daily Telegraph” released days before (September 29 1980) the 1980 Mr Olympia . The two page feature contains three major articles and a number of local bodybuilding and fitness advertisements which is very cool to see.
The article does not make any mention of Arnolds entry but rather focuses on Frank Zane as the hot favorite!
Interestingly it also make note that the event will be televised by CBS and VIS to an estimated 750 million viewers in 98 countries.
Unfortunately with the all the controversy CBS canned the telecast and Frank Zane would lose his title.
